Let’s Chill moves through misted blue, smoky navy, sea-glass green, softened lavender, chalky cream, and flashes of ochre and red. A pale center opens between denser passages and dark linear marks, giving the painting an expansive presence with quieter discoveries up close.

Ships rolled + unstretched. The size selected is the finished artwork size after stretching. Additional printed canvas is included around the artwork for stretching. Stretcher bars, frame, and hanging hardware are not included.

About the Work

A light-filled center opens between denser edges and a lower field of layered marks. Some gestures sit clearly on the surface; others seem covered and found again. The painting balances quiet space with visible activity.

Complex Harmony

Shirley calls this complex harmony: difference, history, interruption, and beauty coexisting without becoming the same. Layers of color, marks, and revision leave some passages visible and partially bury others; what survives remains part of the story.
